Email is a useful tool for communicating information of a general nature. The security of your account information is very important to you and Community Bank. Therefore, before you send us email, there are a few things you should know.
Please, exercise good judgment in choosing what to include in your messages. There is a small risk that information transmitted via the Internet, could fall into the wrong hands. We suggest that confidential information, such as account numbers or social security numbers, not be transmitted via email. Community Bank will be sending two statements in the month of January due to a computer enhancement. The first statement will be mailed January 13th and then you will receive your usual statement at month end. All customer statement will be sent at month end going forward. NOTICE OF CHANGE IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.
