Multifactor
Authentication for Online Banking Customers
Community
State Bank wants to thank you for being an online banking
customer! Your private personal information and computer security
are very important to us. Internet scams are one of the newest
and most common forms of identity theft. We are taking the
steps needed to insure our customers are protected with the
best available technology designed to ensure that only you
can access your accounts. We are excited to announce a new
security feature being added to the online banking system
called Multifactor Authentication. Information regarding Multifactor
Authentication has been added to the login process. Please
read the following information and call us if you have any
questions.
The
changes will include a new login screen. We are moving the
entry of your password to a separate page. We are also adding
a Security Image and Security Questions.
Security
Image:
Once
the security changes are in place, you will be provided an
image and be asked to give the image a name that will be unique
to you. Each time you log in, you will see your security image
and image name and know that you are on the authentic bank
website. When you confirm the correct security image and image
name you may enter your password. If the image you see is
not your image you should not continue to enter your password
or personal information.
Security
Questions:
After
implementation of Multifactor Authentication, during your
initial login, you will be asked to answer three security
questions. These security questions may be used at a later
time to insure your identity.
Registering
your computer:
Multifactor
Authentication will ask you if you want to register your computer.
Registering your home or personal PC will make your future
logins faster. We do not recommend that users register public
computers, such as a work computer or a computer at the public
library. Logging into online banking with a non-registered
computer will require you to correctly answer one of the previously
established security questions.
Be
Advised: Community State Bank WILL NOT send
you emails that request or ask confirmation of personal information
such as social security numbers, account numbers, passwords
or any such confidential information. For security reasons,
please DO NOT include your personal confidential information
in emails sent to Community State Bank.
Please
contact us at 515-961-5880 if you have additional questions
or problems with your log in. Thank you for using online banking
with Community State Bank!
